Guwahati: A man in Golaghat, Assam, was attacked when some unknown miscreants fired two bullets at his home on March 28. Initial reports suggest that the miscreants, who were wearing black cloth to conceal their identities, fired two rounds from a 9mm pistol at the home of Jogeshwar Nath. No injuries or casualties were reported, and the police have launched an investigation and a manhunt to track down the attackers.

In a separate incident on March 10, a businessman named Pabitra Deka was allegedly attacked by unidentified miscreants in the Muramari area of Mangaldoi. During the attack, Deka was hit on the head with a heavy stick, but he was able to use blank fire to scare away the attackers. The incident occurred after an argument over dumper trucks transporting soil to Skill University for construction. One of the trucks reportedly hit a biker, and an argument broke out in the area. The injured biker was taken to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
