Woman Allegedly Murders Husband and Mother-in-Law, Chops and Disposes of their Dismembered Bodies in Meghalaya

Guwahati: A woman in Guwahati, Assam has been arrested by police for allegedly murdering her husband and mother-in-law and storing their body parts in a refrigerator.

The incident is similar to the Shraddha Walker murder case. The murder reportedly occurred seven months ago and it is suspected to have been committed due to the accused woman's extramarital relationship with another man. The accused, identified as Bandana Kalita, has reportedly confessed to the crime. She allegedly cut the bodies of the victims into pieces and stored them in a refrigerator before dumping them near Dawki in Meghalaya with the help of her lover, Arup Deka, and another friend, Dhanjit Deka.

The victims have been identified as Amarjyoti Dey and his mother-in-law Shankari Dey, who had been reported missing since August 2022.

Police have launched a search for the victim's body parts in a forested area, and the investigation is ongoing.
