Guwahati: The news report discusses a gruesome incident in the Kamrup district of Assam, where a man allegedly murdered his wife, who was two months pregnant. The event occurred on Wednesday in the Boko area of the district. The accused in this case has been identified as Akhtar Hussain, a resident of Natun Deuchar village in the district. The victim has been identified as Sajida Begum, a 17-year-old woman from Kolohikash village in Boko.
According to sources, the accused was having an extramarital affair that was being opposed by his wife. The couple had reportedly been married for only six months. However, it is alleged that Akhtar was having an affair with another woman, which his wife opposed. The situation apparently escalated, and the man supposedly ended up killing his wife.
After the crime, Akhtar and his family have gone into hiding, and the police are currently searching for them. The body of the deceased has been sent for postmortem at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The victim's family has filed a murder complaint with the Boko police, who have initiated an investigation into the case. Further inquiry is ongoing, and the police are working to find the accused and bring him to justice.
