Two minors in Golakganj, Assam sustained serious burn injuries while trying to pluck jujube fruits from a tree when they accidentally came in contact with a high-voltage transformer. The boys were quickly taken to a local health center before being transferred to a hospital for specialized medical care.

High Voltage Transformer Electrocutes Two Minors in Dhubri

Guwahati: On the morning of March 4th, two young boys in Golakganj, a town located in the Dhubri district of Assam, were injured while attempting to pluck jujube fruits from a tree. While in the process of picking the fruit, the boys came into contact with a high-voltage transformer located near the tree. As a result of the electrocution, the boys sustained severe burn injuries.

The boys have been identified as Bishal Sutradhar and Bikram Debnath, both of whom are minors. The incident took place near the Netaram Kanailal petrol pump in the town. Fortunately, locals who were in the vicinity at the time noticed the injured boys and rushed them to a nearby health center in Golakganj for immediate medical attention.

However, the boys' injuries were severe and required more specialized medical care. They were later transferred to the Dhubri Medical Hospital College for further treatment. The incident highlights the need for caution while interacting with electrical equipment and serves as a reminder of the dangers associated with high-voltage transformers. It is fortunate that the boys were spotted by locals and received prompt medical attention, which may have helped prevent further harm.
