Man Accused of Killing Sister-in-Law and Disfiguring Her Body in Titabar

Two violent incidents have been reported in the Indian state of Assam. In the first case, a man allegedly killed his sister-in-law and dismembered her body with a sharp tool. In the second case, a woman allegedly stabbed her husband with a pair of scissors. The police are investigating both incidents, and the motive for the violence in both cases remains unknown.

Guwahati: The recent double murder case in Guwahati has deeply impacted the country, but on Tuesday, another similar incident was reported in the Jorhat district. A man named Sajjan Paul allegedly killed his sister-in-law, Rekha Shyam, and dismembered her body using a sharp tool in the Titabar area.

The accused attempted to escape, but villagers caught him and subjected him to severe beating before handing him over to the police. Paul was later taken to the hospital for treatment. The motive behind the murder is currently unknown as the police investigate the matter.

In a separate incident last week, a woman was accused of killing her husband by stabbing him with scissors in the Cachar district.
