| Barpeta Education Department Denies English Question Paper Leak During HSLC Exams |
Guwahati: On March 3, during the first day of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exams conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA), a strange incident occurred. Reports indicate that the English question paper was leaked, with pictures of the paper being circulated on WhatsApp. However, the Barpeta Education Department has dismissed the allegations of the question paper leak, stating that they do not have any evidence to support such claims.
The District Education Officer for Barpeta, Ratul Kumar Das, further added that "the student who left the examination hall after 11 a.m. must be one of those who circulated the question paper." As per SEBA guidelines, any examinee may leave the test hall after 11 a.m. Ratul also mentioned that he does not know which student left the examination hall just after 11 a.m. However, he believes that whoever left the exam hall after the prescribed time may have been involved in circulating the leaked question paper.
Initially, it was stated that the question paper had gone viral over WhatsApp in Baghbar, Barpeta district. However, the district education officer in Barpeta has denied these allegations, stating that there has been no question paper leak. The Barpeta Education Department is urging students and parents to remain calm and not to spread rumors.
As the investigation into this incident continues, the department is determined to conduct the HSLC exams fairly and without any unethical practices. The incident has caused concern among students and parents, and the department is working hard to ensure that all necessary measures are taken to maintain the integrity of the examination.
