Legendary Indian Footballer Tulsidas Balaram Passes Away at 87

WA Sports: Tulsidas Balaram, a member of India's gold-medal-winning football team at the 1962 Asian Games and a participant in the 1960 Rome Olympics, passed away at the age of 87 in Kolkata after a prolonged illness. He was hospitalised on December 26, 2022, and was being treated for urinary infection and abdominal distension, but his condition did not improve.

Balaram, who played alongside Chuni Goswami and PK Banerjee in the Indian team and was known as part of the "holy trinity," was a recipient of the Arjuna Award. He retired from playing in 1963 due to poor health.
