| Delhi University's Hindu College Marks 124th Anniversary with Launch of New Logo and Anthem |
New Delhi: University's Hindu College, which owes its establishment to India's fight for independence, marked its 124th year on Wednesday. The college has lived up to its motto, "steered by the past, sculpting the future," since its humble beginnings in 1899 in the historic Kinari Bazar, and has become one of the most sought-after educational institutions in the country.
On its Founder's Day, the college, which is part of the University of Delhi, unveiled a new logo, college anthem, and alumni website. The event was graced by India's G-20 Sherpa, Amitabh Kant, as the chief guest.
The new logo, which bears the tagline "steered by the past, molding the future," features a depiction of the original college structure and some of the new campus infrastructure. This reflects the college's rich history and its commitment to innovation and progress. The anthem, written by a former faculty member and alumnus Dr. Harish Naval, is a tribute to the college and its legacy, and will be played at future college events.
