SEBA Announces New Date for Cancelled HSLC MIL Exam in Assam

Guwahati: On March 13, the Assam Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu announced the cancellation of the General Science exam of the ongoing HSLC exam due to reports of a question paper leak. Following this, the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) rescheduled the General Science paper to March 30 and the cancelled English examination in JR Higher Secondary School, Ganirgram to March 28. However, there was no announcement for the cancelled HSLC Modern Indian Language (MIL) exam until March 22, when SEBA finally announced that the exam would be held on April 1.

The leak of the HSLC question paper has caused a great deal of concern among students and parents in Assam. In response, the Assam Police have registered a case and the CID Assam is currently investigating the matter. Three SEBA employees have been interrogated as part of the investigation.

Authorities are taking all necessary measures to investigate and prosecute those involved in the leak. It is important to maintain the integrity of exams to ensure that students are evaluated fairly and accurately, and to prevent any unfair advantage from being gained by some students over others. It is hoped that the investigation will lead to identifying those responsible for the leak and taking appropriate action to prevent similar incidents in the future.
