Guwahati: The HSLC paper leak case in Assam has caused widespread concern among students and parents. HSLC stands for High School Leaving Certificate, which is an important examination in Assam for students completing their high school education. The allegations of a paper leak have raised questions about the fairness and integrity of the examination process.
The case involves several individuals who were allegedly involved in leaking the HSLC question paper. Two of these individuals, Jyotirekha Borgohain and Herambo Kumar Das, were teachers at Bhauri Devi Sarawgi High School, with Borgohain serving as the Controller of Examinations and Das as the former Assistant Controller of Examinations. They have been sent to judicial custody after being presented before the court on March 20.
In addition to Borgohain and Das, three other teachers from Lakhimpur, identified as Kumud Rajkhowa, Pranab Dutta, and Prasanna Das, were arrested in connection with the same case and have been sent to 10-day custody of the CID.
Meanwhile, Nayan Jyoti Sarma, the Controller of Examinations at the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), and two others, Kushal Das and a security guard, have been summoned for questioning by the CID in connection with the case.
The CID officials are currently interrogating the three SEBA employees. The authorities are taking all necessary measures to investigate and prosecute those involved in the leak. The aim is to ensure that the examination process remains fair and transparent and that the students are not unfairly disadvantaged due to any malpractices.
Overall, the HSLC paper leak case highlights the importance of maintaining the integrity of the examination process and taking swift and appropriate action against those who attempt to undermine it.
