WA NorthEast: On Saturday, a major fire broke out at Sainik School Imphal, which is located around 7 km away from Imphal, in Manipur. The fire was reported to have started around 12:30 pm, believed to have originated from the adjacent dried paddy field.

As per sources, the fire caused significant damage to the school's properties, worth over Rs 60 lakhs. The school's official Twitter account later confirmed that no human life was lost in the incident and all cadets were safe.
