Arunachal Pradesh Police busted an insurgent camp near the Indo-Myanmar Border, seizing weapons and ammunition, including an AK 47 rifle and a hand grenade. The operation was launched after specific information was received about the presence of ENGG cadres at the camp.

WA NorthEast: The Arunachal Pradesh Police has carried out a successful operation against an insurgent group in the Changlang district of the state. The operation was launched by the state police after receiving specific information about the presence of Eastern Naga National Government (ENGG) cadres in the area. The operation was conducted near the Indo-Myanmar border, in the general area of Lungpang.

On Wednesday, during the recce, five suspected insurgents were spotted in the area. Based on the information, a plan was formulated, and a controlled offensive was mounted on Thursday morning, which forced the rebels to abandon the hideout. During the operation, the police team recovered several weapons, including an AK 47 rifle, an M-16 rifle, a hand grenade, ammunition, and magazines.


The successful operation by the Arunachal Pradesh Police has dealt a severe blow to the insurgent group in the area. The recovery of weapons and ammunition will prevent the group from carrying out any nefarious activities in the area. The police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and security in the state and have warned any other insurgent groups against carrying out any unlawful activities.
