Guwahati: On February 28th, an incident occurred at Raha Toll Gate in Assam where three passengers were allegedly beaten by the staff members of the toll gate over a minor scuffle. The staff members had asked for the toll gate fee from the passengers who requested a receipt of their payment. This led to an argument, and the three passengers reportedly attacked the toll gate staff members. As a result of the scuffle, the three passengers were injured and were subsequently taken to Nagaon Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
Assam Director General of Police, GP Singh, took notice of the incident and directed the Nagaon police to take appropriate action against the culprits. The police acted on the instruction of the Assam DGP and arrested three staff members of the toll gate on March 2nd. The arrested suspects were identified as Shankar Kumar, Vipul Bordoloi, and Jayanta Gogoi.
This incident highlights the importance of maintaining calm and composure during disagreements or misunderstandings. Resorting to violence is never the solution and can have serious consequences. The Assam Police's prompt action in arresting the suspects sends a strong message that law enforcement authorities will not tolerate such behavior and will take the necessary legal action against those found guilty of such behavior.
