| Two Colleges in Golaghat District Receive NAAC Accreditation |
Guwahati: Two colleges in Golaghat district, namely Debraj Roy College and Golaghat Commerce College, have recently been granted accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) under the University Grants Commission (UGC) after an inspection by the council.
This achievement has brought a good reputation to the district. Dr Jnandeep Saikia, the General Secretary of Assam College Librarians’ Association of Golaghat, and Srimanta Madhab Bora, former President of the association, visited the two colleges to congratulate them and express their happiness to the authorities. They also discussed how team cohesion had contributed to the accreditation.
It should be noted that Debraj Roy College had previously received NAAC accreditation with Grade-A in 2011 and has now been accredited again with Grade-A by the council.
