| Shreyas Iyer Has Been Added To The 2nd Test match Against Australia In The IND vs AUS Series |
WA Sports: Shreyas Iyer, a middle-order batsman from Mumbai, has been given the green light by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to join the Indian cricket team before the second Test against Australia in Delhi. This comes after Iyer completed his rehabilitation program at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) following a back injury that forced him to withdraw from the three-match ODI series against New Zealand earlier this month.
Despite receiving injections for the injury, Iyer still experienced pain in his lower back, and the NCA recommended that he rest for at least two weeks. The BCCI released a statement announcing that Iyer had been cleared to join the squad in New Delhi before the second Test of the Mastercard Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
