| Reserve Bank of India Announces 2nd Global Hackathon “HARBINGER 2023” |
New Delhi: The Reserve Bank has announced its second global hackathon, HARBINGER 2023 - Innovation for Transformation, with the theme of 'Inclusive Digital Services.' The competition is aimed at inviting Fintechs to develop digital financial services that are easily accessible for those who are differently-abled, facilitate compliance, increase the reach of Central Bank Digital Currencies, and improve the scalability of blockchains.
The competition is open to innovative ideas in four segments, and winners of the hackathon will receive prizes of Rs 40 lakh and Rs 20 lakh for the winner and runner-up, respectively. Participants will be able to get mentored by industry experts and exhibit their innovative solutions before an eminent jury.
The registration for the hackathon will begin on February 22, 2023. The previous hackathon was announced in November 2021 and received 363 proposals from teams within India and from 22 other countries.
