Muslims Will Rule India in Near Future: Badruddin Ajmal

Guwahati: In a public meeting, Baddrudin Ajmal, who is the leader of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), made a statement that in 20 years, boys and girls from the Muslim community would be governing India. This statement has been viewed as controversial by some people, especially those who believe that religion should not be a determining factor in politics.

Ajmal has been known to make provocative remarks in the past. For instance, he claimed that Muslims in Assam played a significant role in preserving the Assamese language, which is the language spoken in the northeastern Indian state of Assam. He added that the tradition of the Assamese language has been preserved and protected by Muslims in Assam. However, his comments were met with criticism from Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika.

Hazarika, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), criticized Ajmal's claim, stating that it was an absurd statement. He also questioned Ajmal's ability to speak Assamese fluently, claiming that he spoke half Assamese and a little Bengali and Hindi. The minister further asserted that there was no need for Ajmal to protect the Assamese language because the people of Assam knew how to protest and preserve their language.

The exchange of comments between Ajmal and Hazarika highlights the political and cultural tensions that exist in India. Religion and language are important aspects of Indian culture, and people are often fiercely protective of them. However, it is essential to maintain a balance between cultural identity and political representation to ensure that all communities feel represented in the political process.
